Chronic Illness Resources
Recently, my friend Dr. Rebecca (Bexi) Lobo did something amazing. She put together a list of chronic illness resources – for people with invisible illnesses, by people with invisible illnesses.

Dr. Bexi left the world of full-time employment, because like many of us, functioning with invisible disabilities in the workplace is challenging, to say the least.
Early in her journey with chronic diseases, she agonized about how to help her unrelenting dry, sensitive skin. With no effective treatment in sight, she had an “aha” moment. She knew her thorough knowledge about nutritional biochemistry was worth putting to use in an effort to help herself. Without detailing her whole story (I’ll let her tell you about it here), she found the long-sought after relief from her own mixture of natural ingredients. That incredible result led her to found her very own skincare line for people living with frustrating skin conditions like hers.
But after leaving full-time work, like so many of us who want to contribute to the well-being of others with invisible illnesses, she struggled to get her business off the ground. While still struggling, her hard work and dedication slowly began to pay off – she was able to help others by tailoring products for each individual client.
It’s like our own Invisible Illness Club
The more she reached out in the invisible illness community, she made connections with quite a few of us who are striving to use our professional knowledge and lived experience to help others like us. Because we know what it’s like, after all, to put up with so much chronic illness invalidation. We too have been so frustrated, tired, and felt brushed aside for many years with little to no help for our symptoms.

We too want to make a difference, but don’t have the resources bigger businesses do for building awareness of what we have to offer. But together, we can spread the word that we’re all here and are just a click away!
